Sandy Springs resident Tom Glaser, president of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region (AICC), received an award June 4th from the Tel Aviv-based Israel-America Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), at the organization’s annual awards dinner in Israel, for his “significant contribution to the enhancement of trade and business between Israel and the United States.”

AmCham noted that since its founding in 1992, AICC has been involved in completed transactions valued at more than $900 million, creating jobs and benefiting the economies of both Israel and the Southeast. Glaser has been president of the AICC since its founding 15 years ago.

The presentation went on to cite that the Atlanta area is now considered one of the top five centers in North America for Israeli company activity, and most of the major corporations in Atlanta and the Southeast doing business in Israel or with Israeli companies.
