SAT scores released by The College Board show Fulton County High Schools have posted an average SAT score of 1589, which exceeds the state average by 117 points and the national average by 78 points.

These scores represent the new SAT scoring system, which includes a math, critical reading and writing section that each have a maximum score of 800. A perfect score is now 2400 and not 1600.

In Sandy Springs, both Riverwood and North Springs high schools saw increases in their scores by gaining 24 and 2 points respectively. Both schools also placed in the list of the 25 high schools with the highest SAT scores in the state. North Springs placed seventh and Riverwood placed seventeenth.
