Northside Hospital’s Sandy Springs campus is getting ready to host two fall events to raise awareness about health-related issues.
In recognition of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, the hospital will host the 3rd Annual Atlanta Walk to Remember on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. The event will kick off from Building 4 of the Concourse Corporate Center in Sandy Springs.
Parents, families, friends and health care professionals are encourages to attend to remember their babies and raise public awareness of pregnancy and infant loss. The two-hour event is also designed to provide parents an opportunity to commemorate their loss with the support of family and friends.
The walk will include a silent auction, t-shirt sales, a half-mile walk and a balloon release.

On Nov. 4, the Wellness Community will host its first Fall Back 5K race, 1-mile walk/run and tot trot.
Beginning at the Concourse Athletic Club, which is located at 8 Concourse Parkway near the corner of Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive, the event will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Wellness Community, which is affiliated with the local campus of Northside Hospital.
Beginning at 2 p.m., the race will also mark the end of daylight savings time…or the time of year when clocks “fall back.” Funds raised from the event will be used to support free classes in education, support and hope for cancer survivors at the Wellness Community.
Registration fees are $20 for participants who sign up by Oct. 29 and $25 for those who register at the event. Participants can register online at www.active.com.
