Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant celebrated its last day of business on Oct. 20 as revelers watched the Rugby World Cup Finals. In conjunction with Ben Carter Properties, the pub will relocate from the new Streets of Buckhead development to a new location near the corner of Buckhead and North Fulton Avenues.
The new restaurant and pub is being constructed by the Irish Pub Company in Dublin, Ireland, and the structure will be relocated for a slated opening in January of next year.
The new Fado location will include 6,000 square feet on the ground floor and a 2,000 square foot basement. The Irish Pub Company will use many of the features of the existing pub, which opened on Peachtree Road in 1996, in the new building’s design. In addition, they will bring new design elements that have never before been seen in the United States.
The Streets of Buckhead is an upscale, mixed-use community currently under construction in the heart of the former Buckhead Village. The development will offer a walkable streetscape that is slated to include more than 80 luxury boutiques and restaurants.
Borrelli to open in Fado space
Luigi Borrelli will open its first location in the Southeast when it takes over the former Fado location on the corner of Peachtree Street and Buckhead Avenue. The new shop, which will encompass 995 square feet, will offer an array of Neopolitan-crafted shirts, suits, jackets, pants and a host of accessories.
