The Sandy Springs Society’s Tossed Out Treasures sale offers practically guilt-free shopping. Shoppers get unbelievable bargains on antiques, furniture, designer clothing, toys, sports equipment and garden accessories – and all the proceeds benefit non-profit organizations in Sandy Springs.

This year’s giant upscale garage sale is Friday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. New this year is a special half-price day on Sunday, April 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The sale will be at the North River Shopping Center, 8801 Roswell Road, just south of the Chattahoochee River.

Savvy shoppers know to shop the preview party Thursday, April 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for the first chance at the best bargains. Tickets are $30 at the door or $25 if ordered in advance by sending a check, payable to The Sandy Springs Society, to P.O. Box 720074, Atlanta, GA 30358.

Admission includes hors d’oeuvres by Brooklyn Café and beverages to sip while shopping the booths full of gently used treasures sold at bargain-basement prices.

Since 1988, The Sandy Springs Society has given nearly $2 million to non-profit organizations in the arts, education, environment, heritage preservation and social services. Grants have funded everything from summer enrichment programs for at-risk children to exercise classes for seniors. Last year, the Tossed Out Treasures sale raised more than $53,000.
