Bank of North Georgia creates legal practices team in Buckhead
Bank of North Georgia has created a new department to cater to the specific financial needs of the legal community in metro Atlanta. To lead the effort, Toni Nunn has joined the bank as senior vice president and Legal Practice Group manager, working at the Terminus 100 office located at 3280 Peachtree Road, N.E, Suite 500.
Joining Nunn in the new group are Kevin Kell, senior vice president, and vice presidents Michelle Bailey and Nichole Klein, who is a resident of Sandy Springs.
Nunn has more than 25 years of banking experience and will be responsible for managing the new Legal Practice Group and will also be responsible for creation of the bank’s, which will serve specific needs of accountants, engineers, architects and other professional service groups.
Kell is a native Atlantan and career banker who has over 27 years of experience working with clients in the Buckhead Private Banking arena.
In 2000, Bailey was hired by SunTrust to help form and build its Professional Private Banking Group, primarily serving the legal community, CPAs, architects, and engineers.
Klein will expand her current focus of serving the medical market and other specialized professional service groups to include the legal community.
Brightworth promotes Wilson, Ferris to partners
Brightworth CEO and chief investment officer Chris Dardaman announced that director of portfolio management Don Wilson and wealth advisor Annika Ferris have become partners in the independent, fee-only wealth management firm with offices in Buckhead.
Wilson joined Brightworth in 1998 and has served as a portfolio manager and research analyst before being promoted to his current role as the director of portfolio management in 2006. He is a CFA charter holder as well as a Certified Financial Planner
Ferris joined Brightworth in 2003 as a financial planner and was promoted to wealth advisor in 2007. She is a Certified Financial Planner

J. Crew’s Madewell debuts at Lenox Square
Madewell, a concept from preppy retailer J. Crew, is making its Atlanta market debut at Lenox Square in July in about 3,300 square feet of space between Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.
Madewell sells women’s casual and affordable apparel at prices up to a third less than J.Crew merchandise. The store will attract shoppers in their 20s, which is a customer Lenox has been targeting.
There are eight Madewell stores in the U.S.
Cousins now leasing some Piedmont Center spaces
Cousins Properties Inc. recently was named the leasing and management firm for Piedmont Center buildings one through four and 15. That totals about 850,000 square feet of office space and the buildings are about 65 percent leased.
The buildings’ owner, Northwestern Mutual, chose Cousins, which also has similar assignments at The Pinnacle in Buckhead, Midtown’s 999 Peachtree and Concourse Corporate Center in Sandy Springs.
