Signature Bank opens new branch, drive-up facility

Freddie Deutsch, president and CEO of Sandy Springs-based Signature Bank, announced the opening of a new bank location in the Forsyth financial Center, 205 Peachtree Parkway in Cumming.

At the same time, Deutsch, who also is a Sandy Springs resident, said the bank recently opened its drive-thru facility at 6065 Roswell Road, featuring one drive-up banking lane and a dedicated drive-thru ATM, along with a night depository.

In 2005, Signature Bank of Georgia opened as a community bank with concentration on local business banking. In addition to its headquarters offices and banking facility at 6065 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, Signature Bank also has offices in Dunwoody and now in Cumming.

Cornerstone Bank surpasses $400 million mark

Cornerstone Bank, which has offices at 6344 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, reached a major milestone in May – crossing the threshold of $400 million in assets.

In 2001, Cornerstone Bank was founded to specifically serve small businesses, professionals, the real estate community and the owners of those businesses. The goal was to create a bank that could truly meet the needs of the entrepreneur and small business owner. And for the first four years, Cornerstone Bank worked with businesses all over the Atlanta community and grew to $120 million in assets.

In the summer of 2005, Chris Burnett, a 25-year veteran of community banking, joined the bank as CEO along with new investors. Since then, the Bank’s assets have grown an average of 40 percent each year.

Total assets reached $400.5 million on May 7, with total loans of $354.8 million and total deposits of $336.1 million.

RockBridge Commercial Bank adds 2 to staff

Sandy Springs-based RockBridge Commercial Bank announced additions to the staff of Melissa Miller as vice president/commercial banker and Arron Roach as credit analyst.

Miller brings some 14 years of experience in the financial services industry with Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, Colonial Bank and Fleet Bank. In her new role at RockBridge, she will be focusing primarily on growing deposits and loans.

Prior to joining RockBridge Bank, Roach was a senior associate portfolio analyst with Cratos Capital Partners, LLC and a corporate accountant with Jameson Inns, Inc.

RockBridge, which has its offices at Two Premiere Plaza, 5607 Glenridge Drive N.E., suite 100, targets the financial needs of commercial clients and business owners. At the end of the first of the quarter in 2008, the bank had $198 million in assets and $156 million in loans.
