To the editor:
For the second time since the city took over the recyclables collection on East Wesley Road, collection has been a nonevent. Little black boxes have graced the sidewalks since last Sunday night. The city response to calls is “They’ll be picked up.”
This is indeed a way to save money. But it would be a nice gesture to taxpayers to inform them that recyclables are now being picked up every two weeks instead of every week. This would save us from running out in the rain (may the gods be praised and send us more!) with the day’s cans and bottles.
