Lenox seeking upscale restaurant
Lenox Square mall owner Simon Property Group Inc. is reportedly negotiating with potential upscale restaurant tenants for the location formerly occupied by The Clubhouse.
Word is that an upscale restaurant will open in that spot next fall, but no deal has been struck. The potential new eatery remains unnamed.
The recent closing of The Clubhouse ended an eight-year run in Atlanta for the restaurant, which featured a country club theme. It was part of a chain originally owned in part by Kevin Costner, Jack Nicklaus, Robert Wagner and Fred Couples. It is now owned by Chicago-based Really Nice Restaurants Inc.
Isakson Barnhart joins Green Council
Isakson Barnhart Properties LLC has joined the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a nonprofit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices.
The USGBC is composed of more than 15,000 organizations from across the building industry that are working to advance structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.
In partnership with the Chattahoochee Nature Center and the Georgia Forestry Commission, Isakson Barnhart Properties developed the Site Smart program, a four-hour certification program to use in training construction superintendents and equipment operators on the role of trees in the environment and best practices for tree preservation.
Peachtree Hills Place, the company’s residential community in Buckhead for people 55 and older, was the pilot development for the program.
Real estate firms unify leadership
Jenny Pruitt & Associates and Harry Norman, Realtors have joined leadership teams to provide unified direction and support services to the HomeServices brands in Georgia.
As a result of the integration of leadership teams, Jenny Pruitt & Associates President and CEO Dan Parmer will serve as CEO and Harry Norman, Realtors President Martha Hayhurst will serve as president of both brands.
As HomeServices of Georgia, the new leadership team will oversee the integrated administrative office functions of the two companies and support the continued, side-by-side operation of their separate brands within the Atlanta market.
Both Harry Norman, Realtors and Jenny Pruitt & Associates are Atlanta-based sister companies of HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate.
Harry Bissett’s Cafe opens in Buckhead
Harry Bissett’s New Orleans Cafe opened its first Atlanta location Oct. 27 at 360 Pharr Road, in the space previously occupied by Spondivits. The Athens, Ga.-based restaurant specializes in Cajun and Creole cuisine.
