Revamped Prado adds more stores

Publix and RBC Bank are two of the most recent businesses to open at the redeveloped Prado center on Roswell Road just south of I-285. Publix opened on Feb. 19, and RBC Bank opened the following Monday, center developer the Sembler Co. announced.

Staples opened its store at the Prado on Jan. 17, and Larry’s Giant Subs opened in late January, joining Panda Express, Mattress Giant and T-Mobile as new tenants.

The demolition of the former Frankie’s sports bar space began early in February to prepare for the summer opening of Taco Mac, which will be joined in the summer by Fuego Mundo, Yoreka Yogurt, Evos, Genki Sushi and Noodles, and Starbucks.

Preceding those restaurant openings will be the spring openings of Carriage Cleaners, Great Clips, and Nail Talk and Tan

GH&I announces alliance with Greene

Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen (GH&I), an Atlanta-based certified public accounting and advisory firm, has entered a business alliance with Greene Executive Search Firm, a company dedicated to placing finance and accounting professionals.

Lori Greene, the owner of Greene Executive Search Firm, previously served as managing director of GH&I affiliate GH&I Recruiting.

Founded in 1980, GH&I is one of the 10 largest locally based CPA firms in Atlanta. It has offices at 1200 Ashwood Parkway.

CH2M Hill is ‘best’ for female workers

The company that provides municipal services for Sandy Springs was named one of the best places for women to work by an international organization.

CH2M Hill was one of four companies receiving an award from the women’s advocacy group Catalyst. Catalyst is a nonprofit, global organization that works with businesses to expand opportunities for women.

Mueller Water adjusts to economy

Sandy Springs-based Mueller Water Products, which has 6,000 employees nationwide, is implementing temporary plant shutdowns to match production with lower demand.

In addition, the company has announced pay reductions of 20 percent for members of the board of directors and most of its executive officers. The company also announced lesser reductions in base pay and/or reduced workweeks for other salaried employees.
