Baverman reappointed as federal magistrate
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia has appointed Alan Baverman of Sandy Springs to a second term as a full-time U.S. magistrate judge, effective Feb. 1.

Their duties include the preliminary proceedings in federal felony cases, the trial and disposition of misdemeanor cases, various pretrial matters and evidentiary proceedings on delegation from the district judges, and the trial and disposition of civil cases upon the consent of the litigants.
