The state Department of Transportation is holding public workshops to help decide what kind of mass transit to build on the north end of I-285 as part of its Revive 285 project.

On March 25, a workshop will be held at the Chamblee Civic Center, 3540 Broad St. Another workshop will be held March 26 at the Dorothy Benson Senior Center, Building C, 6500 Vernon Woods Drive, in Sandy Springs. Each workshop will run from 5 to 7 p.m.

An expansion project under consideration could add lanes to the stretch of I-285 between I-75 and I-85 and rebuild the interchanges along it. Some kind of mass transit, from light rail to express buses, also could be added.
