The Fulton County North Annex on Roswell Road is slated to get a complete renovation after the Fulton County Commission voted unanimously April 1 to undertake the project.
The center will be closed for part of the renovation, and the services it houses will be temporarily relocated to an undisclosed site.
The center houses a tax assessor’s office, a license plate office, a county extension office and several courts.
Once the renovation is complete in October, the center will be renamed the North Fulton Community Center. It will then also house medical services such as a sick patient care facility, OB/GYN services, a pharmacy, travel immunization services, communicable disease intervention, nutrition education, oral health care and behavioral health counseling.
Adding medical services will save the county from having to build a health center in the area.
