At the June 15 meeting, the Sandy Springs City Council approved an approximately $500,000 contract with J.J.E. Constructors for streetscape improvements on Johnson Ferry Road from just west of Sandy Springs Circle to Long Island Drive.

The project includes the construction of sidewalks, stormwater drains and pipes, curbs and street lights, as well as the paving the road.

The streetscape improvements will be paid for with $800,000 from the organization Sandy Springs Revitalization, Inc. The remaining money will pay for future streetscape projects along Johnson Ferry and Roswell roads.
