A new zoning and development plan for the core of the Buckhead Village area (referred to as SPI-9) is finally slated to go before Neighborhood Planning Unit B after almost a two-year effort involving consultants, Buckhead community organizations and numerous public input meetings.

Buckhead Community Improvement District (CID), in cooperation with the Buckhead Alliance, NPU-B, BATMA, and the city of Atlanta, spearheaded the study to update, and potentially extend, zoning and development regulations in the greater Buckhead Village Area.

The SPI-9 proposal will go before a joint meeting of the Zoning and Development & Transportation Committees of NPU-B on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. in Room 154, on the first floor of the Hyland Center at Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road N.E. It then will be voted on by the full NPU-B board at its regular monthly meeting, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at the same location. Both meetings are open to the public.
