The Buckhead Alliance is hosting a “Celebrating Arts in Buckhead” event Sept. 23, from 6-8 p.m., to kick off the renovation of Charlie Loudermilk Park, the triangle park at the intersection of Peachtree and Roswell Roads.

Featured at the event, which also shows off the recently renovated and reopened Buckhead Theatre, 3110 Roswell Road across from the park, will be live music by the Francisco Vidal Band, art created live by local artists, and art from SCAD Atlanta and the Atlanta International School arts students, a variety of dance performers provided by Dance Canvas and a dance piece performed by choreographer Cici Kelly.

Also performing will be the Dream Supremes, senior dance team that was created in Buckhead to support the Atlanta Dream women’s professional basketball team at their home games.
