Brookhaven residents can get a real taste of their community with the return of the Taste of Brookhaven Sept. 18, from 6-10 p.m., on the grounds of the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University.

After taking last year off due to the economy and a lack of sponsors, the event is back for its fifth year. It is presented this year by Fifth Third Bank.

Tickets, which are $40 per person, are available for purchase online at Those who act quickly and use promo code TOB can get $10 off the individual Taste of Brookhaven ticket, while supplies last.

Diners will have the opportunity to indulge their taste buds with samplings of food and wine parings from Blue Pointe, Brookhaven Bistro, Buckhead Bottle Bar, Eclipse de Luna, Haven, Hudson Grille, Kaleidoscope, Nava, Sugar Shack Terra Terroir and Valenza.
