Details of the entertainment, art and displays for “Celebrating Art in Buckhead” Thursday, Sept. 23, have been announced by The Buckhead Alliance, which has organized the event to kick off renovation of Charlie Loudermilk Park in the triangle at the intersection of Peachtree and Roswell roads.

The master of ceremonies for the event, which runs from 6-8 p.m. in the park and the newly renovated Buckhead Theatre directly across Roswell Road, will be the Today show’s Dan Gardner.  The event is produced by Randy Kamay, of Entertainment Design Group, and the musical choreographer is Angela Harris.

There will be live performances by Dance Canvas, Cici Kelley (CK Productions) & The MTV Swagger Crew, the Francisco Vidal Band and a special appearance by the Dream Supremes. the ageless dance/cheerleading support group for WNBA’s Atlanta Dream professional women’s basketball team.

Art that will be on display will be from Buckhead’s own Atlanta International School and SCAD Atlanta art students. . The renderings of proposed park improvements, produced by William Harrison Design, also will be on display.

The event will be catered by GLORIOUS EVENTS.
