Come to the Oct. 2 Bulky Recycling & Trash Day, hosted by the city of Sandy Springs and Keep Sandy Springs Beautiful.

The event will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the RBS WorldPay parking lot at 600 Morgan Falls Road in Sandy Springs.

Residents can dispose of items, free of charge, such as furniture, refrigerators, bicycles, computers and stoves. There will be a $10 fee for televisions or computer monitors, and $25 for projection televisions.

Document shredding also is available for $5 per banker’s box.

Hazardous items such as paint, motor oil and anti-freeze will not be accepted. Neither will construction materials, yard debris, tires and household trash.
