Sandy Springs City Council members John Paulson and Ashley Jenkins and Dunwoody City Councilman Denny Shortal will host a “town hall” meeting to discuss police and fire protection on Nov. 1. The gathering will be the first joint meeting held by representatives of the two cities, Sandy Springs said in a press release.

The meeting is the first of a series planned to discuss state-of-the-art public safety technology with residents, the city said.

“We are doing some exciting things in public safety, and we want to keep our residents informed,” Paulson said in a press release.

City officials also will update residents on paving and sidewalk projects undertaken by the two cities and other possible collaborations.

The meeting, to be held in the cafeteria of Woodland Elementary Charter School, 1130 Spalding Drive, is to begin at 7 p.m.
