A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on GA 400 southbound, just south of the

Chattahoochee River, shortly after 3 a.m. on Oct. 17, according to a report from public information officer Steve Rose of the Sandy Springs Police Department.

The victim was identified late in the afternoon of Oct. 17 as 28-year old Michael Bryant from Cumming, according to a Sandy Springs Police email.

The email stated investigators still have the case under investigation. Charges are pending the results of the investigation.

According to officers on the scene, the victim came out of the wooded area adjacent to the highway. He was followed by two more people. The victim then entered the roadway and was struck by a car.

At noon on Oct. 17, police are talking with the driver of the car and the two pedestrians who were with the victim were in custody and being interviewed about their relationship with the victim and why they were on GA 400.
