Hundreds of parishioners and well-wishers attended the recent Mass and celebration marking the 50th anniversary of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church on Glenridge Drive in Sandy Springs. The church was built on 10 wooded acres of land donated to the Archdiocese of Atlanta by the Spalding family. Over the decades, the church and elementary school have grown to serve a diverse population reflecting the changing demographics of Sandy Springs. St. Jude is known to Catholics as the saint to pray to when other avenues of hope seem lost.
