Sheri Wilburn has resigned as president of the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber effective Nov. 5.

Wilburn joined the chamber in March of 2008, initially as executive director, after four years as executive director of the Georgia Industry Association.

“At the October board meeting, I indicated to the board my desire to retire from chamber work,” said Wilburn. “In the ensuing weeks, staff and I have been working to ensure a smooth transition.”

She said she plans to enjoy some delayed traveling. “Working together, we have accomplished a great deal over the past 2 1/2 years,” Wilburn said. “With support, SS/PC will continue to grow and fulfill its mission to be the voice for the business community.”

The chamber has begun a search for a replacement for Wilburn.
