Dear Editor,

Your article praising last weekend’s rodeo at Chastain Horse Park failed to mention that many consider the rodeo cruel and disturbing.

It may have been fun for some to watch, but many enlightened people are sickened to watch “cowboys” throw down, wrestle and tie up steer against their will, as they lay helpless on the ground, for all to see.

I certainly hope the Chastain Horse Park treats their horses better than the steer were treated at their rodeo. I challenge them to find a more civilized, sophisticated way to raise money for their therapeutic horseback riding program.
