Dunwoody police examine the scene.

A 36-year-old man died Nov. 18 after he was shot shortly after dropping off his child at a private Dunwoody pre-school, police said.

Dunwoody police identified the man as Russell Sneiderman. Sneiderman was in the school’s parking lot, preparing to leave after dropping off his child, when a bearded man with a gun approached and fired, striking Sneiderman “multiple times,” police said.

The gunman fled in a silver minivan and was last seen traveling westbound on Mount Vernon Highway, police said.

Sneiderman was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said no students or staff members at the school were involved or witnessed the shooting. Police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call 678-382-6921.
