Early next year, state transportation officials plan to resurface I-285 from Ashford-Dunwoody Road to Chamblee-Tucker Road, a stretch of highway reputed to be one of most congested roads in the country. The $7.6 million repaving project, one of 33 projects approved by the state Transportation Board on Dec. 9, will start next summer and likely will continue through the end of next year, Georgia Department of Transportation spokesman Mark McKinnon said. Most of the work will be done on weekends, he said.
