An armed robbery at Best Bank in Dunwoody occurred in the morning of Dec. 21.

Both the Dunwoody Police Department and the FBI responded to the crime at 4498 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road.

Dunwoody officers discovered the suspect had fled on foot toward Cotillion Drive, according to a Dunwoody Police press release.

Bank employees told law enforcement officials that the suspects approached the counter and demanded cash. The suspect was reported to have brandished a handgun  and then fled the scene.

Police did not report how much cash was taken from the bank.

The suspect might be involved in three additional bank robberies in the metro Atlanta area, according to Dunwoody police. Dunwoody Police Detectives are actively working with the FBI in regards to the robbery.
