A city website application that allows residents to report problems in the city’s public work’s infrastructure suggest that the most common problems are potholes and other pavement-related issues.
The sample – gleaned from the website application – is not quite scientific and not yet large enough, but, anecdotally, that’s what the city is seeing. People visit a city website and then click on an interactive map to report a problem.
The service began on Aug. 8 this year. In the first three months, little “complaint flags” on the interactive map generated 57 “tickets” – a city acknowledgement that there’s something wrong and someone is looking into the problem.
Of those, 20 are pavement problems.
