To the editor:

I am writing about an issue that has been a large problem for years and it needs to be addressed: the excessive amounts of large construction trucks, dump trucks, 18 wheelers, etc. that use West Paces Ferry Road and the surrounding residential streets as a cut-through to and from I-75.

Hundreds of these types of trucks use West Paces on a daily basis. It is a residential street and signs are clearly posted prohibiting these types of vehicles.

Ticketing and stopping these illegal vehicles are a responsibility of the city, more specifically the police department, for which they should be held accountable.
