Southern Order of Storytellers presents “Stories for a Cold Winter’s Eve,” a concert in the spirit of the Appalachian tradition celebrating the end of the holiday season by “tellin’ stories all night!” The event is  4 to 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9, at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center (www.Callanwolde.org).

Featured teller Jan Cribbs has master’s degree in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University and tells stories that touch the heart and tickle the funny bone. Ron Kemp uses Southern wisdom, wit, humor, facts, fiction, and a few tall tales thrown in for good measure. Shannon McNeal loves to share her stories about growing up in Alabama and her adventures after moving to Atlanta.

Emcee Feriel Feldman is past president of Southern Order of Storytellers. She is a director, actor, storyteller, and has had teenage storytelling troupes for the last twenty years.

Tickets, $15 at the door. For more information: (404) 377-2704. For reservations, go to SouthernOrderOfStorytellers.org.
