Award winning actress and singer Heather Headley will perform Feb. 17 at the Four Seasons Hotel in a campaign to raise money for the Pace Diversity Scholar’s Fund. Headley lends her talents to Pace Academy’s Diversity at the Table 2011, a unique event in an intimate setting.

Headley won a Tony Award for the Broadway production of Aida and a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album for her album, Audience of One, in 2010. For the Pace fundraiser, Headley will be joined by Herman Jackson, pianist, producer, arranger, musical director and conductor most recently featured on American Idol.

The Pace Diversity Scholar’s Fund was established to provide a quality education with service and leadership opportunities for youth with outstanding academic promise. The fund provides financial assistance and educational support for qualified students from underserved communities in Atlanta who meet Pace Academy’s admission standards.

For tickets, sponsorship opportunities and additional information, contact Philip McAdoo, Director of Diversity, at (404) 266-4422 or email pmcadoo@paceacademy.org.

  1. The wonderful Heather Headley did not win a Tony Award for “The Lion King.” She did win a Tony Award for Best Actress in the musical “Aida” in 2000. She played the title role. Great that she’s coming to Atlanta.
