The city of Sandy Springs is asking the public to call 9-1-1 only for medical emergencies and conditions requiring transportation to a hospital emergency room.
According to the city’s head of communications, Judy Parker, ambulances serving the city of Sandy Springs are able to transport patients to emergency rooms only.
Individuals requiring transportation for regularly-scheduled office visits, medical procedures, or dialysis are encouraged to seek alternate means of transportation if they are unable to drive themselves or have a family member or friend drive them.
