Two condemned buildings at Brook Run Park should be demolished within the next 30 days, the city announced Jan. 21.

Workers began clearing the interiors of buildings 7 and 8 earlier this week, the city said in a press release. The demolition should not alter park usage, the city said.

Building 7 is a small dormitory located behind the theater at Brook Run, the city said. Building 8 is the office building adjacent to the dog park, located at the west end of Brook Run Park.  Both structures were evaluated last year and found to be extremely deteriorated, the city said.

A public meeting on the Brook Run Master Plan, which is part of the Parks and Greenspace Master Plan, is scheduled for Jan. 27. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Dunwoody City Hall.
