To the editor:

In response to Rick Callihan’s editorial, “What should go in parks? Take part in park plans,” (Dunwoody Reporter, Nov. 19-Dec. 2), I would like to mention a “hidden gem” right in the heart of Dunwoody. The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta is celebrating its 100th year and offers the high-quality programming Mr. Callihan says is lacking in our community.

The MJCCA boasts a dedicated gymnastics facility with programs led by USA Gymnastics-certified instructors. Our aquatics program offers year-round swim lessons and swim team. We offer youth and adult sports leagues in a multitude of sports: soccer, baseball/T-ball, basketball, flag football, kickball, softball, and even triathlon training.

Yes, we are a membership-based organization. But membership entitles families and individuals to take advantage of the above and so much more.

Sincerely,

Andy Grant
