Martin Luther King Jr. Day was a time for reflection at Ignatius House, a retreat center in Sandy Springs operated by the Jesuit Fathers and Brothers of the New Orleans Province of the Society of Jesus. Men and women of all faiths were invited to focus on King’s message of peace and justice. At left, the Rev. Edward Buvens leads a discussion as Amy Edwards listens. At right, Matthew Cressler makes a vow to serve the community and God more. The retreat center, including a chapel, below, is located on 20 acres fronting the Chattahoochee River. It marked its 50th anniversary last month and has plans to construct a new administration building and to renovate its main retreat building.
