So, what does a former Atlanta City Council member do after waging two major unsuccessful political campaigns—for mayor and chair of the Fulton County Commission—while pondering her next move?

If she is Buckhead resident Mary Norwood, she takes some time to smell the roses—and a bunch of other flowers and plants—and with her husband, Dr. Felton Norwood, chair the 24th annual Southeastern Flower Show.

Mary Norwood may be the perennial politician, but her Husband, a retired Atlanta pediatrician, is considered one of the top horticulturists in the city.

Former University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley, who also is well known for his gardening, is chari of the show.

The show, presented by the Southeasters Horticultural Society, will be held Feb. 25-27 at Cobb Galleria Center. Tickets can be purchased online at www.sehort.org/flower_show/ticket_information, or call 404-351-1074.
