Belinda Richardson and Brian DeChant, at left, were among the couples sharing the floor with solitary dancers like Walter Mahone, at right, when the YMCA Happy Club put on its annual Valentine’s dance Feb. 12 at the Cowart Family/Ashford Dunwoody YMCA. The Happy Club provides opportunities and social activities for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. The Happy Club meets twice a month, usually on Saturdays, for activities such as professional sporting events, concerts, plays, movies,
theme parks, camping, fishing, swimming,
ice skating and annual trips to the beach.
Co-sponsors for the dance were All About Developmental Disabilities and the Junior League of Atlanta.
