A meeting in Macon March 2 could shed light on a Dunwoody group’s bid to lure the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

The Georgia Music Authority is scheduled to discuss proposals from groups in four cities that have formally bid to operate the museum.

Groups in Dunwoody, Athens, Woodstock and Macon made formal proposals. The museum, now located in Macon houses thousands of artifacts from the state’s musical past.

During the last several years, however, the museum has been losing money and attracting around 25,000 people annually.
