The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.

Larceny from Vehicle

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from an auto occurred at this location on March 3. The victim said his 1991 Cadillac was broken into at a movie theater parking lot.  When he returned to the vehicle, he noticed the driver side rear window had been broken into. Two of his Fulton County Sheriff’s Chaplin shirts had been taken along with a briefcase with a bible inside.

70 block of Old Ivy Road, NE – A larceny from an auto was reported at this location on March 9. The victim parked her 2007 Lexus R35, and was awaken by the paper boy. The paper boy said that her rear door was open. The victim went out to her vehicle and saw that all of her shopping bags were stolen. The victim was not sure if she locked her doors. The stolen items included: $1,300 in clothing from Tory Burch; $600 in clothing From Elite Tahari; $1,500 in clothing from Nordstrom’s; a $200 pair of pants; and $3,650 in clothing and shoes from Neiman Marcus.

Larceny

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny was reported from an apartment at this location on Feb. 27.  The victim said that her ex-fiancé, the suspect, had taken one floor lamp, one black Sony play station and one television. She said that she has known the suspect for at least six years, and they been living together one month. She said she was recently hospitalized and the suspect moved out the residence. When she returned home from the hospital she found the items missing.

3600 block of Roswell Road, NE – A larceny was reported from a discount store at this location on March 4. The victim said that the steel door was taken from the shopping plaza. Prior to the door being taken, it was noticed that the key was missing.

2500 block of Piedmont Road, NE – On March 3, a larceny was reported from an office building at this location. The victim said she walked into the office and discovered that a male was crouching down behind her desk, and when she confronted him, the suspect fled the office. She discovered that her credit cards and debit card were missing.

700 block of Sidney Marcus Boulevard, NE – A larceny from a nightclub at this location was reported on the morning of March 2. The victim said he was at the club when a 5’10’ tall man, wearing a Polo hat and button down shirt, took his white T-Mobile phone and ran. He said          this was the first time meeting the suspect and he did not know his name.

2400 block of Camilla Lane, NE – A larceny from an apartment complex at this location was reported on Feb. 28. The victim said someone used her credit card information to buy a Delta airline ticket and a hotel room. She suspects a male friend that she met at a club.

2400 block of Camilla Lane, NE – A larceny from an apartment complex at this location was reported on the morning of March 5. The suspect tried to break into an apartment below the victim, and when the suspect was seen he climbed up and took the victim’s bicycle.

100 block of North Colonial Homes, NW – On Feb. 27, a larceny from an apartment at this location was reported. The victim was sent a checkbook for his business checking account to an old address; the suspect used the checks and forged the victim’s signature, cashing seven checks for a total of $3,618.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A larceny from a discount store at this location was reported on Feb. 27.  Officers responded to a theft by shoplifting call, and were met by a store security officer who said he saw a person conceal under her infant’s car seat a large handbag. The suspect then placed other items inside the handbag.

2100 block of Bolton Drive, NW – A larceny from an apartment at this location was reported on Feb. 28. Officers met with the property manager who said that tenants had entered an apartment without authorization and were stealing electricity.

1900 block of Peachtree Road, NW – On the evening of March 3, a larceny was reported from this location. The suspect was wanted for possibly stealing a TV from Piedmont Hospital. The suspect said a friend gave him the television. He was arrested and transported to jail.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny was reported at this location on March 7. The victim said that her 3.21 carat diamond ring was given to the suspect to sell on consignment inside his business. The suspect has not been able to sell the ring, so the victim requested that the ring be returned, and the suspect has not returned it yet.

3400 block of Peachtree Road, NE – On the evening of March 12, a larceny was reported from a hotel at this location. The victim said he was setting up items for an auction event. The victim observed two suspicious males in the area of a table they had just set up. The victim said a short time later he saw the same males running from the location with an iPad that was on the auction table in their possession. The victim chased the subjects for a short time but lost sight of them.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – On March 12, a larceny was reported from a hotel at this location.  The victim said she placed her handbag on the table in the lobby and fell asleep. Video shows a man pacing back and forth, then grabbing the handbag before walking off. Video also shows the suspect near the stairwell where the handbag was located.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A larceny from a discount store at this location was reported on March 10. The suspect was arrested for stealing a can of air freshener. The product was returned to the store. The suspect was taken to jail.

2300 block of Bolton Road, NW – A larceny from an auto at a commercial site was reported on March 11. Two subjects entered the rear of the location through a hole in the fence and cut off the catalytic converter from a 2000 Isuzu.

3100 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A larceny from an auto at a residence was reported on the morning of March 10.  The victim reported the theft of a safe from his Lincoln Navigator during the night.  The small safe had miscellaneous items including a Ruger .22 handgun.

Auto Theft

3100 block of Lenox Road, NE – An auto theft was reported from a residence at this location on March 4.  The             victim said that he parked his vehicle in his driveway at his home, and when he went to his vehicle in the morning, he saw it was gone. There were no signs of broken glass in the area or other damage consistent with vehicle theft. The vehicle is a 2010 Mercedes C300.

2400 block of Parkland Drive, NE – An auto theft from a parking garage at this location was reported on the evening of Feb. 27. The victim said she had parked her 2007 Honda motorcycle at the listed location, and when she looked back outside 15 minutes later, she noticed it was missing. She is the only person with keys to the bike.

2900 block of Piedmont Road, NE – An auto theft from a parking lot at a hotel was reported on March 10.  The victim said her 2006 Land Rover Range Rover was stolen from the parking lot of a hotel on Piedmont Rd. The victim said she parked her vehicle and when she returned 1.5 hours later, it was gone. A witness said he saw a dark blue truck loading the vehicle onto the back of a tow truck.

Burglary

3800 block of Land O’ Lakes Drive, NE – A residential burglary occurred at this location on Feb. 28. The victim said that someone stole his air conditioner from his rental property. The copper lines leading to the AC had been cut.

3200 block of Lenox Road, NE – A residential burglary was reported from this location on March 5. The victim said an unidentified individual entered through his sliding glass door and took his Dell laptop computer, Nikon digital camera kit with 2 lenses, Western digital external hard drive, Cotter & Buck umbrella, and travel camera tripod from the residence.

200 block of West Paces Ferry Road, NW – On the evening of March 1, a residential burglary was reported from this location. The victim said she was inside of her home when her nanny notified her that there was a suspicious male in the house. The victim said the male exited the home, then entered her vehicle which was parked in the car port. The victim said she did not know or had ever met the suspect who was arrested.

1100 block of Collier Road, NW – A residential burglary was reported from this location on March 9.  The victim said she had a friend over and after having an argument the friend left. The victim returned home and discovered several items missing, including her wallet.

2900 block of Hills Drive, NE – On March 9, a residential burglary was reported from this location. The victim said he left in the morning and accidently tripped his alarm. Later the alarm company reported that his alarm was going off but did not call the police. The victim discovered that several computers and a TV were missing.

Robbery

3600 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A robbery of a pedestrian occurred at this location on the morning of March 6. The victim said he had been assaulted by five unidentified men on Peachtree Rd.  The victim had two large lacerations on the left side of his head, and the left side of his face was swollen. He said he was over a friend’s house in DeKalb County when he called a taxi for a ride home. When they arrived to the above location, suspect #1 told him to give up his money, and three other suspects got out of a car and assaulted him. They took his money and cell phone, then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Grady for treatment.

1700 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A robbery of a pedestrian was reported at this location on the evening of March 11. The victim said he withdrew some money from a grocery store, and while sitting in his car, a male came up to him and demanded his money. The suspect brandished a weapon.

Assault

1900 block of Mt. Paran Road, NW – On the morning of Feb. 28 an aggravated assault on a roadway was reported at this location.  The victim was driving her vehicle when she was rammed by another vehicle that was driven by the suspect. The suspect is the father of the           victim’s baby. The suspect grabbed the baby away from the victim and ran away from the scene. The baby was reunited with the mother a short time later. The suspect was not captured at the time.

900 block of Canterbury Road, NE – An aggravated assault at an apartment complex was reported at this location on Feb. 27. The victim said that during an altercation with her boyfriend he threw her on the ground, then he took a Coke bottle and struck her in the face with it.

3100 block of Piedmont Road, NE – On the morning of Feb. 27, aggravated assault at a nightclub at this location was reported.  The victim said that he was in the nightclub, and for some unknown reason, a male struck him in the head with a bottle – causing a severe laceration.  An ambulance was called and he was transported to Grady Hospital.

1200 block of West Paces Ferry Road, NW – An aggravated assault the road at this location was reported on the evening of March 6. The victim said he was at the location when the suspect pulled up and began arguing with him. At some point the suspect hit the victim in the face and then pulled a gun before leaving.

3200 block of Peachtree Road, NE – On the morning of March 12, an aggravated assault was reported at a restaurant at this location. Three victims were assaulted by a male and a female. The male had bitten two of the victims. The suspects fled the scene.

110 block of Biscayne Drive, NW – Aggravated assault was reported at an apartment complex at this location on March 7.  The victim said that his upstairs neighbor threw a steel dumbbell weight plate at him; the victim said that the neighbor has a recording studio in his apartment and is very noisy. The victim has made several complaints against his upstairs neighbor. The victim said that he recently discovered his rear gate had been damaged because of the thrown dumbbell plate. The victim was advised to take out a warrant on the neighbor.
