The donated formal wear will allow young women without the financial resources to purchase a dress to choose a free dress and accessories. Priority will be given to Housing Authority of Fulton County residents.

Items needed for the Prom Closet include: Gently used formal dresses, shoes, accessories (bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc.) and handbags.

Formalwear and accessories can be dropped off at HAFC is located at 4273 Wendell Drive.  Drop-off hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until April 1. The HAFC is seeking applicants for the 2011 dress giveaway. Qualifying high school seniors selected to receive a dress will have a “shopping day” to select a dress and accessories. The 2011 Prom Closet program has a new feature that will benefit young men graduating in 2011 who cannot afford to purchase a tuxedo. Qualifying male seniors can apply for a tuxedo.
