In observance of Earth Hour tonight (March 26), an event the World Wildlife Fund organized to create awareness of climate change, landmarks, businesses and homes across the world will be going dark for an hour beginning at 8:30pm.

Starting at the International Date Line, Paris’ Eiffel Tower, London’s Big Ben and Rome’s Colosseum followed Sydney’s Opera House and Beijing’s Forbidden City will be joining the campaign again this year.

Last year, more than 126 countries participated along with 90,000,000 American households. Many of Atlanta’s buildings and public spaces will go dark including Centennial Olympic Park, Coca-Cola headquarters and the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel.
