Atlanta Food and Wine FestivalThe inaugural Atlanta Food and Wine Festival is underway featuring a weekend of tastings, demonstrations, seminars and more. The event is designed to bring together experts in their craft, including barbecue pitmasters, award-winning chefs and mixologists, master sommeliers, fry cooks and local growers to mix and mingle with each other and foodies.

Tasting Seminars: Experience ”White Lightnin’“ with NASCAR great, Junior Johnson. Explore ”Beer and Cheese“ with Tim Gaddis and Terrapin Beer and ”Booze and Chocolate“ with Scott Witherow, Corsair and Patterson House. Take a ”Bean-to-Bar Journey“ with Kristen Hard. Chow on ”Cured Meats“ with Kevin Ouztz and rule the ”Great Grenache Smack Down“ with Anthony Giglio. T

Cooking Demonstrations: Michael Paley is making root vegetables delicious in ”The Misunderstood.“ Sean Brock, Linton Hopkins and Tyler Brown are tackling ”The Whole Animal.“ James Boyce uses ”French Techniques to Modernize Southern Flair.“ Brothers Kevin and Kent Rathbun go head-to-head in a ”Dry v. Wet“ grilling demo. Tim Love, Michelle Bernstein, Todd English, John Besh, Warren Brown and the Lee Bros impart their best techniques and trade secrets.

Interactive Demonstrations: Shake and stir ”Breakfast Cocktails“ with Neil Bodenheimer. Explore the flavor profiles of Coca-ColaTM with Greg Best’s ”Coke Tails.“ Start ”Putting Up“ with Hilary White, Steven Satterfield and Chris Hastings. Get ”Sweet and Savory“ with David Guas.

Tasting Tents will be located near the Lowes Atlanta Hotel and there will be barbecue, craft beer, seafood and more, while Street Food from Atlanta, around the US and Mexico will converge on the festival.
