The city of Dunwoody and the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Public Education Unit are teaming up to offer a fire safety course. Fire Safety 101 is a free class open to DeKalb County and Dunwoody residents that teaches participants methods for fire prevention, reaction to fires and safety awareness.

Training sessions include home, office and business fire safety tips such as identifying fire extinguisher locations and preventing cooking and electrical fires.

The course is offered at Dunwoody City Hall July 18 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. as well as July 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 – 4p.m.
