Hundreds of river riders took to the Chattahoochee on July 30 for the fourth annual Chattahoochee River Summer Splash. The event, promoted by the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and Sandy Springs Hospitality and Tourism, offered rafters, kayakers and canoeists the chance to take part in a mass float down 6 miles of the Hooch. The ride took participants, such as Bobby McTyre and his wife, Pam, from the Morgan Falls Dam to Powers Island. “The very best thing the United States of America has going are our National Parks,” Bobby McTyre said.
