Loose Change, WonderRoot’s literary magazine, will mark its first year of publication with Paper Anniversary on Friday, Aug. 12, 8:30 p.m. at Kavarna Coffee House in Oakhurst. The free, open-invitation party will celebrate the close of Volume I (and rise of Volume II) with a night of live art, food, drink, music and DJ’d dancing ‘til the wee hours.

Charles McNair, Atlanta writer, editor, radio commentator and Pulitzer Prize nominee, will headline the evening’s readings, along with a collection of writers culled from Loose Change’s first year of publication.

Attendees are also encouraged to create their own word-based art during the event. Loose Change is partnering with Creative ReUse, a fellow offshoot of WonderRoot dedicated to environmentally conscious art-making, to present literary contests and interactive art for all. Visit www.loosechangemagazine.org for event updates, or contact loosechange@wonderroot.org for more information.
