The Dunwoody Homeowners Association is keeping an eye on several upcoming commercial developments.
At its meeting Aug. 7, the group discussed a Starbucks, a Chick-fil-A and a Wendy’s proposed for different locations around Dunwoody.
President Bill Grossman said he knows little so far about the Starbucks planned near the Ravinia on Ashford-Dunwoody Road, except that it will have a brick exterior.
“They’re not ready to make a presentation,” Grossman said. “It will go through the three public hearing [zoning] process. None of those hearings have been held yet.”
A future Chick-fil-A restaurant planned on Hammond Drive near Macy’s is “still on hold,” while the company negotiates with the property owner, Grossman said.
“If they can come up with a plan … that can pass muster with the city, they’ll be back,” Grossman said. “They have not withdrawn their application.”
Grossman said Chick-fil-A will make a presentation to the Homeowners Association after it concludes an agreement with Macy’s.
Grossman said he expects Wendy’s to break ground on a new location at Perimeter Pointe in October.
“The corporate headquarters is moving, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop the Wendy’s that was accepted by Sandy Springs across the street,” Grossman said.
