DeKalb County’s Housing Authority and a developer are building a $15.7 million senior living facility on Johnson Ferry Road.

The 121-unit apartment complex, called Hearthside Brookleigh, serves as the third phase of a six-phase mixed-use development, Brookleigh is being built next to Blackburn Park and near the intersection of Johnson Ferry and Ashford-Dunwoody roads. The project is being built on the site of the former Johnson Ferry East public housing project.

Hearthside Brookleigh will be open to residents aged 62 and older.
