Thirty students from nine high schools were inducted into the first class of Youth Leadership Sandy Springs on Aug. 16.
The students will take part in a year-long leadership training and civic awareness programs. They’ll meet with city leaders at City Hall and the police department, explore the Chattahoochee River, meet with developers and city planners and work at human service agencies. In the spring, the group will complete a service project.
Inducted into the program, listed by school, were:
North Springs Charter High School: Andrew Tyner, Allen Devlin, Evan Rosenthal, Emily Kelly, David Zarge, Alexander Taylor, Justin Fleischmann, Sarah Edwards.
Riverwood International Charter High School: Maikelyn Avila, Hannah Arney, Noah Newman, Jacob Greenberg, Leila Sadri, Mae Davis, Sydney Perloe, Regan Durkin, Mary Stuart Reticker, Christian Wendlandt.
Holy Spirit Preparatory School: Celine Liebrecht, Lizzy Baker, Joseph Seta, Laura Acker, Caroline Suarez.
