Robert Ingram, Head Coach

We hate to keep using the term ‘rebuilding’ because we have been working at building a program for three years.

The biggest missing piece over the past three years has been in the coaching staff. We have only retained two coaches off the first staff in 2008. We now have a full staff of coaches that are doing a great job and are dependable.

We have nine seniors who will lead the team. We have gotten stronger and faster as a football team and our size on the offensive line has improved. The line should be our strength this year along with our quarterback. Quarterback Robert Beckley, fullback Garrett Harris and guard Robert Lane will anchor our option offense. Defensively, Harris, lineman Darius Jenkins, Zach Meads, and cornerback Rashan Hassell will lead the eight-man front defense. Owen Marett returns for his senior year as the place kicker and punter after three successful years.

As a whole, we feel as if the team is headed in the right direction and we feel capable of contending for a playoff spot for the first time since 2001.
