Drivers in Sandy Springs will have to find another way around Riverside Drive from North Harbor/ Pointe Ridge Drive north to Johnson Ferry Road on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15 because the road will be closed for waterline repairs, the City of Sandy Springs is reporting.

Riverside Drive will be closed to traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15.

“The preferred detour for motorists heading north on Riverside Drive will be down River Valley Road,” the city said via press release. “An alternative detour will be along North Harbor Drive to Johnson Ferry Road. Those on Johnson Ferry Road will follow a detour route onto North Harbor Drive to Riverside Drive.”

The city reports the City of Atlanta Watershed Management is breaking up the repairs to accommodate rush hour traffic. Area residents may also experience a temporary disruption in water service during this time, the city says.
